The Beacon Retreat Centre

The Beacon Retreat Centre is our beautiful home in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. The house is set is approximately an acre of land and is surrounded by farmland, bordered by a stream and with views of the Brecon Beacons mountains. It’s incredibly peaceful and tranquil.

We have a beautiful yoga and workshop space in the old coach house / dairy building on the right of the picture above, with a dormitory room above, now available for booking.

The yoga studio accommodates 14 mats and is available for hire including props (mats, bolsters, blocks and belts). Chairs are also available for chair yoga or seated workshops.

Just down the corridor from the yoga studio is a small kitchen with hot drink and snack making facilities, plus a toilet and shower room.

Camping on the land is also possible.

In the main house, all bedrooms are named after Welsh or Celtic goddesses, and are furnished to a high standard. We offer the following guest accommodation:

Mebh - Double bed

Brighid - Double bed

Arianrhod - 2 Single Beds

Branwen - Double bed (+ can accommodate an extra single bed)

Cerridwen - Kingsize double

Dôn - Cosy dorm room with seating area around a log burner above yoga studio - sleeps up to 5 in single beds, one of which pulls out to create a large double.

How to find us

We are 2 miles outside of Brecon, Wales. Our nearest railway stations are Builth Road (13 miles) and Abergavenny (21 miles). Map location

Abergavenny is reachable from London Paddington with one change at Newport (typical journey time 2 - 2.5 hours)

Newport (32 miles) is reachable by direct train from London Paddington (typical journey time 1 hour 40mins).

We are happy to help arrange transfers / collections from any of these stations.
